Dr. Scott Lucchese specializes in headache medicine. His expertise and clinical interests include management of all types of headache and facial pain syndromes including: management of migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, cluster headache, facial and cervical dystonia, post-traumatic headaches, CSF pressure/volume derangements, secondary headaches, NDPH, etc. Dr. Lucchese treats patients in the Fifth Floor Clinic of the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute.

Dr. Scott Lucchese is an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at UAMS. He is board certified by the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and The United Counsel for Neurologic Subspecialties in Headache Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Headache Society.
Dr. Lucchese graduated from University of Missouri—Columbia School of Medicine in 2006. He then completed a Preliminary Internal Medicine followed and Neurology Residency Program at the University of Missouri—Columbia School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri.
Upon completion of training he joined the staffs at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Administration Medical Center and University of Missouri—Columbia School of Medicine.

Lucchesi is such a great doctor, we travel 8 hours each way to see him. He has saved my life. I would fly across the world to see him. He catches things no one else does. His knowledge is unmatched.

Dr. Lucchese is my lifesaver. He cares and is brilliant. My diagnosis of CADASIL is extremely rare. I had been to so many other Doctors that had not taken my symptoms seriously- because none of the usual tests showed any significant results. Dr. Lucchese went beyond the usual and found my an answer. He literally saved my life. I have a genetic stroke disorder that creates tiny holes in my brain matter. It's progressive and leads to dementia and death relatively quickly. There is no cure. However Dr. Lucchese has found medications and treatment options that have significantly slowed the decline I was experiencing. I think more clearly, have fewer falls, fewer severe migraines and less fear. I am Blessed.

He is a very good Doctor and is trying his best to find the cause of my condition. He spent a long time with me asking me questions and looking at test results.

He is the only provider I have ever seen for migraines who truly listens and takes the time to explain-in detail-why what I am experiencing is real and not "all in my head." He openly shares his own experiences to help reduce fear, especially when performing procedures, which makes an incredible difference. His genuine care for his patients and passion for continually expanding his knowledge always leave me feeling heard, understood, and confident in my care.

Dr Lucchese is an excellent doctor and he really cares about his patients. I have been to so many doctors and he was the first to spend a significant time really listening to me and trying to get to the bottom of some of the issues I am having. I also love that he is very up front about what may or may not work and he is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Overall he is one of the best doctors I have ever had.
