About Dr. Freeze-Ramsey

Clinical Biography

Dr. Rachael Freeze-Ramsey graduated cum laude from Hendrix College in 2001. She then attended medical school at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she graduated AOA in 2005. She completed her residency at UAMS and served as chief resident during her final year. She then divided her time between UAMS and Conway Regional Medical Center before joining UAMS full time in 2009.

Dr. Freeze-Ramsey currently serves as the Associate Residency Program Director.  She previously served as the Senior Medical Student Clerkship Director, Assistant Residency Program Director, and Co-Course Director of the Practice of Medicine I course for first year medical students. She also served as the Co-Director of the UAMS stroke program from its creation in 2009 until 2020. In 2013 she received the Robert A. Fisher Excellence in Teaching award. She received the Red Sash Teaching Award from the UAMS College of Medicine in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020. She is a member of SAEM, ACEP, and CORD. Her interests include stroke, resident and medical student education, physician wellness, and medical student advising.
