About Dr. Manning
Clinical Biography
Dr. Nirvana Manning graduated from UAMS in 2003 and completed her residency in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UAMS in 2007. She is an elected member of the Arkansas Medical Society’s Board of Trustees, serving her second two-year term, and as an inaugural member of the Arkansas Maternal Mortality Review Committee appointed by the Governor of Arkansas. She also serves as a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Council of University Chairs in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and North American Menopause Society, to name a few.
In conjunction with her many years of experience as a physician, Dr. Manning serves as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Service Line Director for Women’s Health at UAMS. Each role gives her the knowledge to care for her patients and advocate for their needs within the clinical setting. Her dedication to advocacy can be seen through the projects she has implemented to educate young girls and caregivers about puberty and self-care. She has been active in education regarding access to long-acting reversible contraception for all women in our state. She recently participated in a significant grant to improve postpartum maternal outcomes in populations experiencing health disparities.
Dr. Manning is also one of 9 providers in our state to become a Certified Menopause Practitioner. She enjoys taking care of all aspects of Women’s health care from adolescents through menopause.

This visit was very good. However they didn't tell me my doctor was out of town and I saw a young doctor. I wasn't comfortable sharing my concerns with her. If my doctor cannot be at the date of appointment, I definitely want to know and be able to change the appointment. I was very pleased this visit

This was my first time meeting Dr. Manning and she was great. She took her time to explain things to me. I did ask a few questions. She was very patient and I did not feel rushed at all. I am glad she's my physician.

When I went in for the visit, I didn't realize how complicated my medical history was. I knew it was complicated but I didn't realize the severity of my history. I was hoping that my doctor would tell me whether I could or could not take oral birth control. She answered me somewhat, but not to the extent I had hoped. I didn't get direct answer about whether I could or could not take oral birth control because she said I needed permission from my neurologist. I learned a lot with the visit. I'm grateful for the precautions the doctor took regarding my medical history. The one thing I don't understand is why I don't get to have the high-risk doctor for regular visits if I'm a high-risk patient. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit.

I had 6 different places to be and they all got me right in and out and they all were as pleasant and helpful as could be!
