A physician then came in and tried a time or two, but after all the handling of the device, it was damaged and unusable. It was a special order and another one wasn't available. At that point, I suggested using a similar device if there was one on hand. The original device measures an 18 fr. 1.7The device on hand was a 20 fr. 1.7, but we agreed that it was the best option at the time. The doctor was able to Insert it with minor difficulty due to the size difference. It was a very unpleasant experience for my daughter! And she Is still experiencing discomfort due to all the pushing to get it inserted.
