Lakshmi Menon, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, in the Division of Endocrinology. She received her medical degree from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in 2013. Dr. Menon came to UAMS for her residency in internal medicine in 2014-2017, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology.

Dr. Menon is very knowledgeable about diabetes and thyroid conditions. She always provides new information about these conditions and explains them with terms that I can relate to. Whenever providing options to help me manage my diabetes she always listens to my concerns and includes me In the decision making process.

She did not taper me off my medication which caused other issues that required me to go to the emergency room. There was no discussion that this could even happen if I stopped the medication.
