Lakshmi Menon, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, in the Division of Endocrinology. She received her medical degree from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in 2013. Dr. Menon came to UAMS for her residency in internal medicine in 2014-2017, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology.

Dr. Menon absolutely dismissed my concerns. Told me my symptoms weren't related and pushed medications at me without any true justification. When pushed about changing my medication she generalized my treatment plan to those of her other patients and concluded that would be best for me without LISTENING to my concerns. She's a terrible doctor and doesn't care about her patients at all. She's more concerned about making her notes for the than anything. It would be very advantageous for UAMS to have her attend a continuing education class on bedside manner and listening to patients.

I was very nervous about this appointment, I have worked at UAMS previously, and know how to can be between departments. My hospital experience was disjointed and communication was fair at best. Dr. Menon took her time with me, compassionate explained things well and allowed for any questions/concerns.

Nurse aid took BP. It was fine. Dr Menon is very attentive, looking at chart, asking questions, nothing to change with medication, See you in three months
