My only issue is the wait time. My appointment was scheduled for 1240, and even with the "15 minutes" to check in, I was still at least another 30 minutes before taken to the clinic room. Six people who came after I did were taken back before I was. I also understand that there's a staffing issue, which will add to wait times. I don't mind being appts being behind because I wanted to make sure my provider and I aren't rushed, so my expectation is that others will do as well. Perhaps someone in the registration area could keep us informed of any delays.

My PCP is Dr. [NAME]. I was unable to get an appointment with her until I don't know three or four months away. So this is my annual visit. I saw a NP. She was very polite. The provider clearly knew nothing about me before she entered the room. She didn't know that I had had two surgeries within the last three months. When I asked questions, I felt it was discounted. I have had increased fatigue after my last surgery and asked about checking my adrenal gland function since I have had an adrenalectomy. She told me she could refer me to endocrine. I declined the referral because I have to takeoff work again for another appt, it's a [AMOUNT] co-pay, and if the bloodwork is normal, it would have been a wasted trip and money for me, but since I declined the referral, she declined to run any labs. Her response was she wouldn't know what to do if they were abnormal. Well, 1. that's why you have a collaborating physician, so that you can discuss things that you might not be as familiar with, 2. that's when you call your endocrine colleague and you can ask them for guidance, +/-or 3. that's when you can send the referral. There's no doubt in my mind that if I had seen Dr. [NAME] or Dr. [NAME], the labs could've been checked prior to seeing a specialist.

This was for a referral to a dermatology clinic for scraping suspicious skin lesions, a totally unnecessary hurdle from my point of view, delaying real treatment for at least a month.

I arrived at 8:15 am for a 8:40 appointment and was not seen until 9:40 am. When I arrived, there were about 4 other patients ahead of me. The nurse practitioner Ms. Ready was very insightful and proceeded to inform me of the procedures that I would be having because of my condition. The assisted nurse was supposed to take my blood pressure in different sitting and standing positions, but never came. I waited in the patient room for about 1/2 hour before I had to remind the nurses that I was still in the room. The lab technicians were very gentle when my blood was drawn.
