About Dr. Childs
Clinical Biography
Dr. Jacquelene Childs is a board-certified family physician. She loves to care for newborns and children while caring for their family units and promoting well-being. She is a Michigan native but spent 10 years in the greater Chicago area studying medicine and completing post-graduate training. She then returned to Oakland County, MI, and spent 9 years caring for children, adults, and pregnant patients, providing: preventative; acute; chronic; inpatient; and procedural care. She was able to provide a wide scope of patient care because of her primary role as a teacher and core faculty member of the Ascension Family Medicine Residency and Assistant Professor at Michigan State University.
Having recently moved to Southern Arkansas with her husband and children, Dr. Childs is excited to welcome residents to the care team in the family medical home she has helped build. As medical director, she believes in creating strong processes so all providers in the practice can collaborate and succeed in providing high quality patient care for the wide range of conditions in South Arkansas. Outside of medicine, she is actively involved in church and children’s activities, is a University of Michigan football season ticket holder (GO BLUE!), and is attempting to “get out to get in” challenge of visiting all 52 Arkansas state parks.

My mom has Dementia and is unable to properly give answers. That's why I sent grand daughter. She did not acknowledge her in that way.. Ii was very upset this happened. My mom doesn't need to be signing nothing and is unable to know what is best for her. I will be at next appointment. Other then that all was good.

Again, maybe my misperception --- me, not having been a doctor --- but It's sad that doctors SEEM anxiously hurrying to finish with a patient to get on to the next one. I was ill-prepared --- had no list of ailments to address. Before I could think of another issue our visit was concluded. Offered that I knew she has a stressful job and would say a prayer for her.

Like I said going yo see Dr and when you walk into office and you get no smile or greetings it is a big disappointment patient should be important
