Hunter Gibbs, M.D., joined the Department of Psychiatry as an assistant professor in 2019. Dr. Gibbs received his medical degree from the UAMS College of Medicine in 2012 and completed his residency in psychiatry at UAMS in 2016. He is a former assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Dr. Gibbs is the Acute Services Medical Director for the Psychiatric Research Institute’s adult inpatient services.

Hunter Gibbs, M.D., was an assistant professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic prior to joining the UAMS Department of Psychiatry’s faculty. He served as an attending psychiatrist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a rotation director in Residency Training and Medical Student Education.
