About Holly B. Trotta
Clinical Biography
Holly Trotta is passionate about helping patients and family members understand their medications and disease process so they can better care for themselves. She enjoys all aspects of Cardiology, from management of hypertension to arrhythmias and heart failure.
As an RN, Holly spent 10 years working in intensive care at various hospitals in Texas, Virginia and Arkansas. After relocating to Arkansas in 2000, she obtained her Master’s and doctoral degrees at UAMS, and has worked as an APRN in a variety of practice settings. She worked from 2004-2011 in cardiology/electrophysiology at CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic Arkansas and from 2012-2015 in the hospitalist/internal medicine department at CHI St. Vincent. She returned to UAMS in 2015, where she worked in transplant surgery and surgical oncology from 2015-2020. She joined the Department of Cardiology and the College of Nursing as a clinical instructor in January 2021.
