About Dr. Kocurek
Clinical Biography
Emily Kocurek, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Chemistry, graduating summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Kocurek also completed internal medicine residency training at Southwestern, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She received her fellowship training in pulmonary and critical medicine from Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Kocurek is board certified in Internal Medicine and pulmonary diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Thoracic Society.

I admire Dr. Kuzureck and her concern for her patients. She goes beyond what many doctors do to assure patients get the best decisions possible. She calls to let me know if she has found a problem that may require a new or repeated test and has that appointment made and confirms the date and time are available and matches my heavy schedule as well as hers. She has stayed at IAMSfor a long time and I pray she will continue to be a valued help at UAMS pulmonary clinic. None are better to patients.

I have told Dr Kourek that I do not want to be treated by her and could she give me the name of another Pulmonologist. She refused to give me another name of a doctor - so I am asking friends for a recommendation.
