About Dr. Kocurek

Clinical Biography

Emily Kocurek, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Chemistry, graduating summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Kocurek also completed internal medicine residency training at Southwestern, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She received her fellowship training in pulmonary and critical medicine from Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Kocurek is board certified in Internal Medicine and pulmonary diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Thoracic Society.
