About Dr. Veerapandiyan
Clinical Biography
Aravindhan Veerapandiyan, M.D. (Dr. Panda) is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Neurology for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Panda obtained his medical degree at KAPV Government Medical College in Trichy, India. He completed his Child Neurology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Newark, NJ. He went on to complete a fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, NY. He is board-certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with special qualifications in Child Neurology. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Neurology, Child Neurology Society, Americal Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, World Muscle Society, Peripheral Nerve Society, American Headache Society, Americal Association of Physicians of Indian Origin Arkansas, Arkansas Medical Society, Indian Medical Association, and Lions Clubs International. Dr. Panda is the Direction of the Comprehensive Neuromuscular Program, Medical Director of the Headache Clinic, and Co-Medical Director of the Childhood Postinfectious Autoimmune Encephalopathy Clinic at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Pandas’ clinical and research interests include headaches disorders and neuromuscular disorders. In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Panda is highly involved in resident and medical student education and is the Chair of the Child Neurology Residency Program Evaluation Committee.
