About Anne M. Hiegel
Anne Hiegel, APRN, is a Pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse with Allergy and Immunology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Ms. Hiegel received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Saint Louis University in 1985. She became a member of the Division of Allergy and Immunology in 1995 working as a specialty nurse. She worked as a senior clinical research coordinator in the division’s food allergy research program from 1995 to 2016. After receiving her masters of nursing science from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, she joined the faculty at ACH in 2017. Ms. Hiegel specializes in diagnostic testing and therapeutic interventions for the treatment of food allergy.
Ms. Hiegel is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI). She is a nationally certified asthma educator. She treats patients with allergic disorders including asthma, food allergy, atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, and drug allergies. She has research interests aimed to advance therapies for children with food allergies.
