About Dr. Shaw
Clinical Biography
Allison Shaw, M.D., is an assistant professor in the College of Medicine’s Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr. Shaw has an extensive background at UAMS, where she graduated medical school in 1995 and completed an Internal Medicine residency, including her last year as chief resident, in 1999. She also was a Fellow of Cardiovascular Diseases at UAMS from 1999 to 2002.
Dr. Shaw is a board member and former president of the American Heart Association’s central Arkansas affiliate and has served as the organization’s co-chair of the Go Red for Women drive.

MD was a better listener than last time but still had not reviewed my cardiology records from UAMS including LHC in 2022 and this year's scans ordered by the MD following me for MGUS and current referral provider. I told her I could look them up on MyChart and she said she'd go look. Rather than looking at my UAMS records, she reviewed outside records from 2023. I updated her and asked questions but was given no answers. She did spend time on non-cardiac related concern she had experienced. Her hydration recommendations from first visit did improve my dizziness. I will continue to give her a chance to improve as I have no major cardiac symptoms at present.
