Who is Cammie?
Cammie is a digital assistant powered by artificial intelligence from UAMS Health that works with your care team to make sure your surgery and recovery go smoothly.
Once your procedure is scheduled, you will receive text messages and calls from Cammie at UAMS Health from 517-712-5684. You may also recieve emails from yourprocedure@uams.edu. These texts, emails and phone calls will include important personalized reminders, instructions, and questions from your UAMS Health care team.
Cammie is available 24/7 to answer questions and connect you with your care team. Please note that Cammie may make mistakes and should not be used in place of emergency services; if you are in immediate medical distress; please call 911.

What can I ask Cammie for help with?
Cammie is designed to help you navigate your pre-procedure care journey and will be able to answer most questions on how to prepare for your upcoming procedure.
You may also ask Cammie for logistical help, such as scheduling a call with UAMS pre-procedure Anesthesia department, rescheduling your procedure, or parking instructions.
Do I have to sign up for this service?
No. If you have a scheduled a procedure at UAMS Health, you will automatically receive text and phone messages from Cammie.
Can Cammie speak my language?
Cammie can speak and text in several different languages-likley including yours! If you would like to communicate with Cammie in a language other than English, just text in that language, and Cammie will reply in your preferred language.
Is there a cost to use this service?
This service is provided by UAMS with no cost to you. Standard texting and calling rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
Can I stop receiving these messages?
Yes. You can stop receiving messages from Cammie at any time; simply respond to any message from Cammie saying that you would like to opt out of future text messages.
