In-Person Education Classes Suspended
UAMS is temporarily suspending in-person education classes and tours due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though we can’t meet in person, please use our patient education resource library to find articles created by our patient education team.
The thought of caring for a newborn can be overwhelming and exciting. Everyone has heard stories about how a newborn changes the dynamics in a household.
At UAMS, we know that all new parents want the best for their little ones, so you’ll want to learn practical, safe tips to make things easier for you and your new baby.
What You Will Learn
Learn proper techniques for your newborn, including:
- Proper holding positions
Participants will have the opportunity to practice many of the skills taught in class. Participants will also learn CPR to help an unresponsive or choking infant. Please note that this CPR class is not a certification course.
This course is free, and pre-registration is required. Last minute registration will only be accepted if space permits. Online registrations cannot be made 3 days prior to class date, please call 501-686-8084 to check space availability.
Class is offered once a month from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
