The thought of caring for a newborn can be overwhelming and exciting. Everyone has heard stories about how a newborn changes the dynamics in a household.
At UAMS Health, we know that all new parents want the best for their little ones, so you’ll want to learn practical, safe tips to make things easier for you and your new baby.
What You Will Learn
Learn proper techniques for your newborn, including:
- Feeding
- Bathing
- Diapering
- Proper holding positions
Participants will have the opportunity to practice many of the skills taught in class. Participants will also learn CPR to help an unresponsive or choking infant. Please note that this CPR class is not a certification course.
This course is free, and pre-registration is required. Last minute registration will only be accepted if space permits.
Class is offered twice per month with morning and afternoon times available.
