NICU Parent Support Groups

Caring for a child or family member in the NICU can be an overwhelming task, but UAMS is here to help. We have a team of providers to answer your questions and put your mind at ease. To explore more resources, we’ve provided the pages below.

Smoking Cessation

If you, or someone who plans to be around the baby, smokes or uses E-cigs here are some helpful resources and tips.

-Do not smoke or vape around the baby or in the home where the baby sleeps

-After you step outside to smoke or vape please wash your hands, change your clothes and pull your hair back before picking the baby up

-Try to quit (or at least cut back) tobacco products!
