Bank of America Continues Tradition of UAMS Support 2018-01-05T09:15:54+00:00

Aug. 1, 2006 | For the ninth year, Bank of America has shown its support for the programs of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) with a generous gift.

Donnie Cook, Bank of America city president, joined UAMS Chancellor I. Dodd Wilson, M.D., and other UAMS and Bank of America officials July 25 to present a donation of $25,000 to the university.

“It is our honor to accept this contribution from Bank of America,” Wilson said. “Their continued support has made an impact on the programs that we provide, and we thank Bank of America for again selecting UAMS to receive this gift.”

The donation will be divided between the Arkansas Cancer Research Center, the Department of Dental Hygiene of the UAMS College of Health Related Professions (CHRP) and the Chancellor’s Circle. The Chancellor’s Circle recognizes major donors who support UAMS programs through annual unrestricted contributions.

The Dental Hygiene Department will use its share of the contribution to purchase digital radiography equipment to aid in X-ray technology for the UAMS Dental Hygiene Clinic.

The programs supported by the annual Bank of America contribution vary each year and are selected by local bank representatives.
