Sept. 12, 2016 | Nurses can earn more than 20 hours of continuing education Oct. 20-22 at the 20th annual Family Medicine Update and Tobacco Disease Preconference at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
The three-day conference, sponsored by the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine in the UAMS College of Medicine, will offer 22.75 hours of continuing education. It will be held in the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute at UAMS.
The conference will feature nicotine replacement therapy in the clinical setting, updates on osteoporosis and multiple sclerosis, simulations, pulmonary hypertension, new anticoagulants and sessions on mental illness, risk management and chronic pain.
