The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the first floor gallery at UAMS Medical Center. For more information, visit the reunion’s Facebook page at facebook.com/UAMSNICUReunion.

“NICU patients often have a lengthy stay in the hospital, which means that the patients, their families and the staff can develop lasting bonds. The reunion is a way to get everyone back together so we can all celebrate UAMS’ tiniest patients as they grow and thrive,” said Becky Sartini, clinic services manager of the NICU.

Lunch will be served, and Brian and Terri Kinder of Kindersongs will perform for the children, who are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite superheroes.

There will also be a car seat checkup station during the event at which certified child passenger safety technicians will inspect car seats for safety or recall issues and ensure that the seats are properly installed in the vehicles. The station will be held on the top level of Parking Deck 1, which is located off of Hooper Drive in front of the hospital.

The NICU at UAMS combines advanced technology with trained health care professionals to provide specialized treatment for the tiniest of patients in a patient- and family-centered environment. It averages more than 1,500 admissions each year and has survival rates among the best in the nation.
