UAMS Lung Cancer Specialists to Present Panel Discussion in Hot Springs Village May 11

The panel discussion will be held at 11 a.m. May 11 at the Village Church of Christ, 210 Balboa, in Hot Springs Village, and will include members of the lung cancer team at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.

There is no charge to attend, and lunch will be provided. To make a reservation, call (501) 526-2277 by May 6. This event is presented by the UAMS Cancer Institute in conjunction with the Hot Springs Village Walk for Cancer Research.

According to the American Cancer Society, about 2,200 Arkansans died of lung cancer in 2014. This is more than triple the number of deaths attributed to colorectal cancer, which is the state’s second-deadliest cancer.
