Free Legal Assistance Event for Cancer Patients and Survivors Oct. 22

The legal aid event is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Lawyers will assist cancer patients and survivors in preparing simple wills, powers of attorney and advance directives.

Advance reservations are required at www.arlegalservices.org/uamswills or by contacting Terry Harrison of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) Bowen School of Law at (501) 324-9441. The event will take place in the Patient Support Pavilion on the first floor of the UAMS Cancer Institute. Free parking is available in parking deck 3 at the corner of Cedar Street and Capitol Avenue.

This is a free service provided by the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission, Center for Arkansas Legal Services, local law firms, members of the Pulaski County Bar Association and the UALR Bowen School of Law.
