Oct. 2, 2014 | UAMS hosted its popular International Fest, an annual gathering of UAMS employees and students celebrating their diverse cultures and backgrounds, on Sept. 26.

Employees and students set up displays along the ground floor concourse of the Education II Building with photos and items from their home countries. Many included samples of food.

Nutrition Services also served up international dishes, including some from new executive chef Alex Erdmann’s native Germany.

Live entertainment included performances of classical music and jazz. There also was a traditional Filipino candle dance by UAMS employee Annie Lincoln and a demonstration of the Chinese exercise Fulan Dafa (Fulan Gong).

International Fest concluded a month-long celebration of diversity at UAMS.
