Endocrinologist Bursey Joins UAMS

Bursey was formerly in private practice in Little Rock for 15 years. She is board certified in both endocrinology and internal medicine. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Clinical Endocrinologists, Endocrine Society and the International Society for Clinical Densitometry.

Bursey has completed several clinical investigations on type 1 and type 2 diabetes. She has also had a number of publications on her diabetes research.

She earned a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics and her medical degree at UAMS. She also completed her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She had a three-year fellowship in adult endocrinology with extra training in pediatric endocrinology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
