Inpatient Dietitian Services
As an important member of your medical team, our dietitians work to ensure that all of your dietary needs are taken care of while you are staying in our hospital. Their mission is to provide the most current, evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to our patients in order to complement their treatment plan.
We help patients with a variety of conditions, including:
- Heart disease
- High cholesterol
- Celiac disease
Our dietitians take several steps to ensure that you are on the best individualized dietary plan for your condition and needs:
- Nutritional assessment
- Development of nutritional care plan
- Nutritional intervention
- Nutrition monitoring and evaluation
In the assessment process, our staff members thoroughly investigate your individual situation and needs. We learn as much as we can about your case to be able to recognize what you need and don’t need in your diet. From there, we develop your personal plan. Each registered dietitian carefully examines the assessment data and identifies problems and suggestions. We implement the plan into your diet as soon as we have carefully explained all of our suggestions to you. We then monitor and evaluate your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your diet that may be needed.
We talk to other members of your medical team so that they are aware of your dietary plan. We also work with you in our outpatient clinics so that once you leave the hospital you can continue with a nutritional plan that best suits your needs.
