About Cystic Fibrosis Clinic

The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program at UAMS Health is the only certified adult cystic fibrosis program in Arkansas. We are accredited by the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The goal of our clinic is to provide state of the art care to people in Arkansas and the surrounding area who have cystic fibrosis.

Our team includes a dietician, nurses, pulmonologists, a pharmacist, a psychologist, a respiratory therapist, a pulmonary function technician and a social worker.

Our Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program is a member of the Therapeutics Development Network of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The Therapeutics Development Network is a network of nearly 80 nationwide clinical research centers conducting a variety of trials to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new therapies for cystic fibrosis.

Complete Inpatient and Outpatient Care for Cystic Fibrosis

If the need for an inpatient stay arises, Cystic Fibrosis Clinic patients may be admitted to the UAMS Medical Center. All hospital rooms for cystic fibrosis patients are private and each room has extra room for a friend or family member to stay with you as you wish.

While in the hospital, you will be cared for by a team of physicians led by a pulmonologist. You will have visits from respiratory therapy, your nurse, a dietician and a social worker. Your team will monitor you during your stay in the hospital and help with discharge planning when the time comes to transition back home.

Parking is available in Parking Deck 3 at the corner of Cedar and Capitol. Valet parking is available in front of the Outpatient Center for a fee.
