If you are in need of urgent or emergency care call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department at your local hospital.
If you have fever, cough or shortness of breath, do not come to UAMS or any other doctor’s office, urgent care clinic or emergency room without first calling and getting instructions.
If someone needs urgent medical care and could have been exposed to COVID-19, tell the operator when you call 911.
Outpatient Visitor Guidelines
Due to an increase in COVID-19 patients in Arkansas and across the country, UAMS is implementing new visiting policies for our clinics. Effective March 20, 2020, patients must come to their visit alone, unless there are special needs such as:
- Patients undergoing a procedure that requires a driver
- Minor patients
- Patients in a wheelchair who need assistance
Visitors must be 18 or older and pass a health screening before entering a UAMS building.

About Our Travel Medicine Services
Traveling overseas? We can help you have a safe and healthy trip. We offer a comprehensive consultation service designed to keep you healthy, no matter where your travels take you. UAMS will provide travel vaccines and prescriptions for medications you may need before your departure. The clinic is an official Yellow Fever Vaccination Center. A certificate of vaccination approved by the World Health Organization is provided for all vaccinations received at the clinic.

UAMS MyChart is a patient portal that gives you free, secure 24-hour online access to your health information. You can see your lab and test results, send messages to your doctor, make appointments, refill prescriptions and pay your bills.
