Because we are a teaching clinic, hours for our clinic vary between semesters. Please call us to get the latest hours.
After Hours
If you are in need of urgent or emergency care, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department at your local hospital.
If you are sick or have a minor injury and need to talk to someone right away, you can access UAMS HealthNow for a video visit with a UAMS Health provider 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., seven days a week.

About Dental Hygiene Student Clinic
The UAMS Dental Hygiene Student Clinic provides select dental hygiene services while providing clinical experience to students enrolled in the UAMS College of Medicine dental hygiene degree program. Dental hygiene services are provided by students under the direct supervision of faculty dental hygienists and dentists.
Insurance is not filed in this clinic. All services are provided at a reduced rate and paid at the time of service by the patient.
Because these students are learning to provide good care and are observed by hygiene faculty at each step, you should be available to sit for an extended appointment time.
Services provided in this clinic include:
- Routine cleanings and examinations
- Radiographs (X-rays)
- Other preventative periodontal treatments
- Sealants
Please note that the clinic does not provide restorative services (fillings, crowns, etc.) or tooth extractions.
Appointment Information
Appointments with the UAMS Dental Hygiene Student Clinic are scheduled for 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. This schedule allows our staff and students to properly care for each patient. Please keep this in mind when you schedule your appointment.
