Our doctors will take the time to coordinate your health care, arranging for tests and procedures and tracking results as we continue your care over time. If necessary, we will refer you to other UAMS medical specialists.
UAMS provides inpatient care at our Medical Center; outpatient care is provided on the 2nd floor of our Outpatient Center and at our Neighborhood Clinic at Rahling Road. Our caring, compassionate clinic staff includes nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and social workers. Appointment times are available for routine exams and sudden, unexpected illnesses. Physicians also are available after-hours and on weekends to meet your health care needs.
The Internal Medicine Clinic is a primary care clinic. Some insurance providers may require a co-pay for this service, so please check with your insurance provider prior to your appointment.

What should I bring to the appointment?
For your first appointment, please bring a photo ID and your insurance card along with a list of any medications you’re taking, including over-the-counter medications. You should also bring any medical records you can provide, including slides or test results from other clinics.
For future appointments, please provide updated medical and insurance information.
How do I request a prescription refill or contact a nurse from the clinic?
To refill a prescription, please ask your pharmacy to send an eScribe request to our clinic, or you can request a refill during your appointment. If you originally filled your prescription at the UAMS Outpatient Pharmacy, you can also refill your prescription online.
