About Our Comprehensive Screening
UAMS Health comprehensive screening includes:
- A calcium score: Heart Saver CT scan (non-invasive)
- A lipid panel: Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and glucose
- A peripheral vascular assessment
- A blood pressure evaluation
- A stroke assessment
- A urine dipstick +1
- A body composition assessment, BMI
- A nutrition assessment
- A consultation with a cardiac nurse
- Same day results
Who Would Benefit From a Screening?
This screening is designed for adults with risk factors for heart disease or for those who are proactive about their heart health and interested in preventive care.
Anyone with any of the following risk factors:
- 40 to 75 years of age
- Current or former smoker
- Sedentary lifestyle
- Family history of heart disease
- Overweight
- History of high blood pressure
- History of high cholesterol
- History of diabetes or prediabetes
- No prior diagnosis of heart disease and no prior heart procedures, including stents or bypass surgery
Same Day Results
You will receive same day results. If you have questions about your results, we recommend you discuss them with your primary physician or schedule an appointment with a UAMS Health cardiologist.
