Condition: Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction (CIPO)

Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction (CIPO) is a rare and serious condition in which the intestines behave like there is a blockage (an obstruction), but no physical blockage is present. Instead, there’s a problem with the nerves or muscles of the gut that prevents normal movement of food, fluid, and air through the intestines.
