Shona Ray-Griffith, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Departments of Psychiatry (primary appointment) and Obstetrics & Gynecology (secondary appointment) at UAMS. She is a board-certified psychiatrist with clinical expertise in the management of a broad variety of neuropsychiatric illnesses. Within the Women’s Mental Health Program, she focuses on the treatment of mental illness, substance use disorders, and chronic pain throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period. Her clinical research interests include the use of non-pharmacological treatments (e.g., electroconvulsive therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, exercise) as well as the course, outcomes, and treatment of chronic pain disorders during the perinatal period.
