About Dr. Manning
Clinical Biography
Dr. Nirvana Manning graduated from UAMS in 2003 and completed her residency in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UAMS in 2007. She is an elected member of the Arkansas Medical Society’s Board of Trustees, serving her second two-year term, and as an inaugural member of the Arkansas Maternal Mortality Review Committee appointed by the Governor of Arkansas. She also serves as a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Council of University Chairs in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and North American Menopause Society, to name a few.
In conjunction with her many years of experience as a physician, Dr. Manning serves as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Service Line Director for Women’s Health at UAMS. Each role gives her the knowledge to care for her patients and advocate for their needs within the clinical setting. Her dedication to advocacy can be seen through the projects she has implemented to educate young girls and caregivers about puberty and self-care. She has been active in education regarding access to long-acting reversible contraception for all women in our state. She recently participated in a significant grant to improve postpartum maternal outcomes in populations experiencing health disparities.
Dr. Manning is also one of 9 providers in our state to become a Certified Menopause Practitioner. She enjoys taking care of all aspects of Women’s health care from adolescents through menopause.

I see Dr. Manning and I love her and I love her nurse practitioner very helpful and I didn't see Dr. Manning this time. I seen the nurse practitioner, but Dr. Manning always come in and speak when I'm there I would recommend anybody that needs a gynecologist to see Dr. Manning and her staff, they are excellent and I started seeing Dr. Manning when she took care of my daughter when she was pregnant and she is really a good doctor. Thanks. Look forward to seeing Dr. Manning and her staff next year. Thank you for being so kind and gentle to me.

Got me in fast even when I was early to my appt. Didn't wait very long to see the provider. Provider listened and answered questions. She always make me feel comfortable and well taken care of.

This was the best experience I've had in, ooh, some years now. The staff was awesome, sweet, courteous, and we laughed and joked about, you know, what was going on. So they made the visit fun and not scary. I would definitely recommend to other family members and friends. Like I said, it's the best experience I've had in some years, and we finally nailed and got to the bottom of my problem and my issue of what's going on. So definitely a 10 and a thumbs up. All right, thanks. Have a nice day.

Yes, it was a little difficult to get an initial appointment with Dr. Manning, but I was very pleased with the quality and her knowledge and her care as well as the nurses when I had my appointment and am anxious for my results and my next visit. I would recommend her highly. Thank you.

The front desk and clinical staff was very courteous and timely in checking me in and getting me set up for my appointment. Dr. Manning was very personable and took time to help me identify resources to help plan my family. I really appreciate the help and guidance I received at the UAMS Women's Center!
