Brandi Mize is the 15th recipient of the Lawrence E. Scheving Award, established in 2004 to recognize the first-year medical student with the highest grade in Human Structure.

William Brumley, a first-year UAMS medical student, has received both the Lawrence E. Scheving Award for achieving the highest grade in gross anatomy, and the Dr. Horace N. Marvin Award for achieving the highest grade in microscopic anatomy.
