UAMS Receives $1.3 Million from Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Blue & You Foundation to Establish Chair, Expand Programs

Feb. 9, 2015 |The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ (UAMS) today announced grants totaling $1.3 million from Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and its Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas. The grants endow a chair in primary care and expand dental and interprofessional education programs at UAMS.

LITTLE ROCK – Retired Little Rock otolaryngologist J. Floyd Kyser, M.D., recently gave $500,000 to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) for a professorship to honor the surgeon who trained with him as a resident and went on to become an international leader in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at UAMS.
