LITTLE ROCK –The training program for new physicians at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has received $900,000 in federal funds, allowing it to continue to increase the number of resident physicians at its regional center in Fort Smith.

LITTLE ROCK – Despite challenges faced during the enrollment process for obtaining health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, nearly every newly insured person interviewed for a report released Thursday said having health insurance has been a positive development in their lives.
