As the children jingled into his office, UAMS Chancellor Dan Rahn, M.D., wished the kids a happy holiday season and complimented them on their Santa hats, red shirts and jingle bells.

Rahn sat close by, smiling and singing along, as the kids sang and performed choreographed hand motions to “Let It Snow,” “Up on the House Top” and “Feliz Navidad.”

The kids quickly surrounded Rahn as he passed out oranges and thanked them for coming. After receiving several hugs from the group, Rahn led UAMS staff in singing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” to the children.

The well-mannered, bell-clanging youngsters attracted several admirers on their walk down the hallway to sing for Executive Vice Chancellor and College of Medicine Dean Pope L. Moseley, M.D., and his staff. After the singing and dancing were over, Moseley thanked the children for their carols and hugged many on their way out.

The kids stopped for one more performance in front of the Lobby Café to sing for the patients, visitors and staff who gathered to enjoy the caroling. After a chorus of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” the kids jingled their way to their bus and headed back to school.
