UAMS Sets SeniorNet Computer Classes in March for People 50 and Up

| LITTLE ROCK – Computer classes — Fundamentals for Beginners and Microsoft Word — will be taught in March for people ages 50 and older at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.

The classes that begin March 3 are:

  • Fundamentals for Beginners, Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m.-noon  
  • Introduction to Computers — Windows 8, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
  • iPad and iPhone One-On-One Learning Session, March 14 and March 21, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Course fees for 16 hours of instruction are $45 and student manuals are $15. The program is administered by SeniorNet, a nonprofit volunteer group. Classes are in Room 2156 at the UAMS Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive, Little Rock.

The iPad and iPhone One-On-One Learning Session enrollment fee is $25 for a single 50-minute session. These sessions are open to people of all ages, but enrollment is limited.
