UAMS College of Health Professions to Support Scholarship Fund with Valentine’s Day Event

| LITTLE ROCK – The College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will host its first Allied Hearts celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2014 to express affection for supporters, students, faculty and staff while raising funds to support student scholarships.

To be held at LaVada’s, a restored historic home at 2005 Main St. in North Little Rock, Allied Hearts will feature food, music and dancing. Proceeds from the event will support scholarships in the college, which includes 21 academic programs in allied health.

The college’s scholarship fund awarded $42,500 in scholarships to 31 students in 2013-2014. In addition, 18 departmental scholarships were awarded.
