UAMS Sets September SeniorNet Computer Classes for People 50 and Up

LITTLE ROCK – Computer classes — Fundamentals for Beginners, Introduction to Computers – Windows 7 and File Management — will be taught in September for people ages 50 and older at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
Classes begin Sept. 3. They are:
· Fundamentals for Beginners, Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m.-noon
· Introduction to Computers — Windows 7, Mondays and Wednesdays, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
· File Management, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m.-noon
Course fees for sixteen hours of instruction are $45, and student manuals are $15. The program is administered by SeniorNet, a nonprofit volunteer group. Classes are in Room 2156 at the Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive, Little Rock.
iPad Workshop is a single session class that will cover how to use iPad as well as its cost, storage, popular apps, wi-fi connections, downloading library books and printing from the iPad. Enrollment for the workshop is $15. The class will be from 2-3:30 p.m. Sept. 27 in Room 2156 at the institute.
