Marshall Goldsmith, Ph.D., Headlines 2012 Healthcare Management Institute

By Jon Parham

The event, at 2301 S. University Ave., is open to the public. Registration is $300 and includes continental breakfast, lunch and handout materials.

“Marshall Goldsmith is an outstanding business leader and has been recognized by the Harvard Business Review as the #1 Leadership Thinker in the country,” said Stephen Foti, an instructor for the Program of Health Services Administration, Department of Health Policy and Management at the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

Foti, who sees wide appeal for this year’s institute, said this will be the first time a business leader outside of the health care industry will be conducting the institute.

Goldsmith’s daylong session — Helping Successful Leaders Get Even Better:
What Got You Here Won’t Get You There — includes workshops on coaching, employee engagement and practicing “Feedforward,” a tool for 360-degree evaluations Goldsmith co-created.
