Neurosurgeon Cifarelli Joins UAMS
| LITTLE ROCK – Christopher P. Cifarelli, M.D., Ph.D., a neurosurgeon, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and is seeing patients at the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute.
Cifarelli’s clinical duties and research areas primarily are in neuro-oncology with a special clinical focus on neuro-endocrinology, tumors of the pituitary gland, and stereotactic radiosurgery. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurosurgery in the College of Medicine.
Cifarelli earned his doctorate and medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in neurological surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., including a one-year international fellowship performed at Auckland City Hospital and Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand.
