50+ Senior Fitness Center

Do you want to have more energy, be more active and feel younger? All across the country, older adults are seeking to regain or maintain physical health, vitality and independence. Put a spring in your step and walk with confidence. You can also create more definition in your body, lose body fat and prevent osteoporosis.

The Ottenheimer Therapy and Fitness Center, located in the UAMS Reynolds Institute on Aging, is designed specifically for people 50 years of age and older. Members have access to a spacious room with a variety of exercise equipment and programs including Keiser weight machines, cardiovascular equipment, educational programs and special exercise classes such as yoga and Tai Chi. Hallways are equipped with handrails for added safety.

  • Strength training with equipment especially designed for your age group
  • Cardiovascular equipment
  • Individual exercise program

Fees

By joining the fitness center you also have access to the water wellness program for one low membership fee:

  • Monthly – $35.00
  • 3 months – $100.00
  • 6 months – $175.00

UAMS is also in network for the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program. Members receive fitness center membership at no cost. SilverSneakers is typically offered to Medicare-eligible members of a sponsoring insurance health plan.
